Don’t know what’s behind today’s set. I think it was just opening my photo stream and seeing a picture of a woman wearing pearls. I can’t vouch for all of the pearls in these photographs being real, but it’s the thought that counts.
Last week I was on vacation. Apparently I took it pretty seriously since not only did I not work but I also took a break from posting Daily Dozen sets. Sure, I posted a couple but by the middle of the week I decided to take it easy. It wasn’t a hard decision. Vacation is over now though and the Daily Dozens are back. Today’s set features women with dangling earrings. There were a lot of photos to look through to put this one together – and they had to be looked at pretty closely to determine just what type of earrings were being worn. Within the dangling category (third in popularity after studs and hoops) there are a number of variations: giant contraptions that hang along the neck, small beads, shapes, etc. I tried to grab a couple of examples of each. Hope you enjoy them!
It’s safe to say that guys in the 21st century have gotten the short end of the accessory stick. When I did a set of women wearing necklaces recently there were so many photographs from which to choose. Today, not so much. It hasn’t always been the case though – think of all the great jewelry found in the tombs of kings and pharaohs. Alas those glory days have largely passed now. There are a few keepers of the flame though and here are 12 that might rekindle the look again!
First spotted is the topic – and the first picture I spotted today was of a woman wearing a necklace. Necklaces are great adornments – there are just so many styles and colors and lengths and textures. I wonder what the purpose of necklaces was to begin with? What made people want to hang things from their necks? This set is making me wonder about doing one on accessorized men next week. I’ll probably have to dig a bit more for that one. Hope you enjoy the photos!
So I’ve done Women with Hoop Earrings and People with Piercings but never people with just regular earrings. This meant that there were no guys with earrings and that was a recent request. Not that I do a set of guys with earrings but that I mix it up, men and women. Let me say that there are far fewer guys with earrings than I expected. It was pretty hard to find even the half dozen below. In part this is because I needed to a) see their ears and then b) check to see if said ears were pierced. It turns out that in most cases that isn’t the case. Now finding women with pierced ears is very easy. So easy, in fact, that I am planning on doing a future set on the “Unholey Alliance” – women without pierced ears. That’s for another day though.
