This set popped into my head on Friday. There was on picture of a woman with long eyelashes and it suggested this set to me. Eyelashes are tough to see sometimes – particularly in small photos. I went through many to find a few dozen candidates and then filtered that set again to come up with these 12. No doubt I have better examples somewhere in my photos but these seemed to fit the bill nicely. Hope you enjoy them!
We’re on the verge of May here in New England. Soon the warm weather months will be upon us. Though they’re not with us long, many men will begin considering their summer hairstyles soon. To help with that process, I’ve put together a set of men with buzz cuts (it’s what I often sport during the hot and humid months). Now in putting this set together I did not include bald men or men who are almost bald and shave their heads. No, this is a set of guys who went into their barber and told them to put a number one guard on the clipper. Hope you enjoy. The summer will be here soon!
Yesterday’s set of ruddy-faced men was the prompt for today’s set of pale women. I’ll be honest, I think pale skin is really attractive (of course I think all shades of skin are attractive so that’s not saying much I suppose) and I thought I’d look through my photos to find some examples. There were plenty to choose from but not as many as I expected. Hopefully there will be a few in today’s set that you’ll like.
Today I am going with complexions. And one in particular. The healthy red-faced look. It seems a dated term (like “doughty”) but a good one. It was not an easy set to put together. Since so many of the photographs I’ve taken have been at night and indoors it’s tough to tell who does have that look versus someone simply standing by a red light. I’ve done my best though to find 12 men I think fit the bill. I hope you’ll agree.
This morning I was thinking about the day’s photos and was wondering how many shots of siblings I might have. As I ran through it in my head I was able to come up with at least eight without any problem. I was pretty excited about it but then realized, “oh, today is Tuesday, I do mixed sets on Wednesdays.” But thinking about it some more I realized this was simply an arbitrary rule I had created and decided to bypass it and do what I wanted. That’s what you see here.
There are 12 photos – six sets of siblings. Can you make the right connections? Who is related to whom? I’ve numbered the photos to make it easier. Anyone who gets it right will win a yet to be determined but still fantastic prize!
This set is going to be a little subjective. I suppose all of them are in a way but this one more than most. That’s because the sparkle in someone’s eye is really easy to see in life but harder in a photograph. I’ve chosen many of today’s faces based on memory rather than looking at the image itself. That’s absolutely fine with me though; and since this is my project that makes it A-OK. I hope you’ll enjoy the pictures and can see the sparkles. All of them are from 1000faces 3. (Speaking of which, I am only 15 photographs away from 3000 and starting the next set!)
When I was a kid, my father would drive us to school (at least for a time). I can’t recall the reason but I enjoyed those rides. Talking about words, listening to “Test the Teams” on WBZ and music too. One of the songs that sticks out in my memory is Crystal Gayle singing “Don’t it Make my Brown Eyes Blue.” I woke up today with a snippet of that song in my head and that’s what led to today’s Daily Dozen. Here are 12 women with nice blue eyes.
